Newest Deviations

It came to my attention that over the past year I have been more successful with my fanfiction.net account rather than my deviantart account for most matters.

So with that in mind, I want to point out a few statistics.

On deviantart, since October 2012, I have had 42,492 page views, 104 watchers, and (I know I removed a few pics) 36,570 views on the stuff in my gallery. My most like deviation is PNW Lightning, Abandoned Rodents has the most comments and the picture of the amount of snow at the Paradise Inn at Mount Rainier is my most viewed deviation with 962 views. Now that may seem like a lot, but just listen to my fanfiction account:

Since July 2014

I have had 1,042 people view my profile page, am on the favorites list of 40 people and the author alert list of 36 people.
Aside from deleted stories, I have had 24,165 views on my stories, with most of those occurring in the last six months. My the most viewed story is Skywalker's Daughter with 7,948 views, it is also the most reviewed with 41 reviews, the most favorited and most followed.

Sure, DA might look like it holds an edge, until you look at the number of pieces up.

DA: 453
Fanfiction.net: 18

To put that into perspective, that is

For each piece average:
DA: 80 views, 1.12 comments, and 4.77 favs per deviation
Fanfiction.net: 1,342.5 views, 11.4 reviews, 8 favs, and 9.05 follows per story

Both sides have had stuff deleted, I even deleted two 1k+ viewed stories earlier in the week on fanfiction because I didn't like them. For right now, Fanfiction is whooping my deviantart's ass.

But when I tried to put my work from fanfiction onto here, it only bubbled, except for Hiding in plain sight (pokemon fanfic) chapter 1, which had more views on DA in one chapter than four on fanfiction.

The amount of haters on DA is remarkably less compared to fanfiction where I have been told to kill myself. Not fun. So, that's why I have this ongoing experiment to see if I can reach that same level of success as I have on fanfiction on deviantart. I'd like to be a little more well known around here (Granted, I get kicked out of every single chatroom).

Now don't get me wrong, DA can be great for some people. But for others who are trying to get noticed among the endless sea of people with better equipment or more skill, it is kind of sad.

So here's to us little guys, trying to find our place to shine. May life treat you well.   -Jay

2 Years since Lucy quit Fairy Tail

Lucy Heartfilia, A.K.A. The Acidic Rose

Lucy ducked as the massive tail of the creature swept overhead, her hair getting tossed by the wind coming off it's tail, "Acid Dragon Roar!" she shouted, spraying the highly corrosive attack on the monster. If screamed before falling over dead.

She wiped her mouth, a lot had happened in two years, meeting the last remaining dragon. The Acid Dragon, Sulficaine, he taught her, a broken girl who felt powerless how to stand on her own two feet again. She grimaced...

Two years, now she was stronger than ever, but was it enough to be accepted again. She left because she was weak, something that Natsu admitted when he was drunk, with the rest of Team Natsu joining in.

She left the guild an hour later, fleeing Fiore to train deep in the mountains of Minstrel. Life was good after Sulficaine passed away due to age. She had been taking independent jobs, trying to make a name for herself that wasn't connected to Fairy Tail. The Acidic Rose. She took the knife off of her belt from next to her keys and proceeded to cut off it's toenail, a strange activity as it was what the client requested. She finished with the last one before securing them in the burlap sack before finding her way back to the alchemy shop in the city. The load was heavy, but bearable. A year ago, she wouldn't have even been able to lift it. Now, it was like picking up a child on her back.

She walked into town, the townspeople clearing the way for the girl that had a scar on her face from a claw mark. A price to pay to learn such magic. Acid corrodes beauty, she had to pay with a little of it. Yet most men still oogled at her in her leather armor, another thing she never though she'd wear.

She kicked the door open to the alchemy shop and proceeded to silently walk to the counter and place the bag on it. The owner seemed quite pleased with her before handing her a bag of jewel, "always a pleasure Ms. Rose," he waved as she left.

Little did she notice of the photographer who snapped a picture of her.

Natsu Dragneel

"Natsu," Wendy shouted as she zoomed into the room, a Sorcerer Weekly clutched in her hands.

"What's up?" he asked, his feet on the table as the rest of Team Natsu sat around.

She tossed the magazine in front of him, "it's this month's Sorcerer Weekly International!"

"Yeah, so?"

"Look at the cover!" Wendy ordered.

Natsu, Gray and Erza leaned over it before they gasped,

"It can't be..." Erza began.

"There is no way it could be her," Gray added.

Natsu blinked, "who the heck is The Acidic Rose?"

Gray and Erza looked straight at Natsu, "are you kidding me man? That's Lucy!"

The usual dull roar of the guild hall went silent at the mention of the member who took off without a word.

Wendy grabbed the magazine and flipped to a page, she began to read:

"Acid Dragon Slayer Rose Vermillion is highly regarded as one of the best wizards outside of Fiore and has declined every interview that SWI has attempted. However, upon speaking with many former clients, she came onto the scene a year ago with an amazing defeat of one of the most dangerous dark guilds of Minstrel. Her accent however, seems to convey that she was originally from Fiore, with many identifying the keys on her belt as the keys used by the missing Fairy Tail guild mage Lucy Heartfilia. Rose has made no comment on such rumors but seems sure that she is intent on not leaving the country as it stands now."

Wendy lowered the magazine, "Dragon Slayer? Lucy as a Dragon Slayer?" Erza breathed

"I don't get it though, why did she leave?" Gray pondered the question that had been on their minds for years now.

Natsu shook his head, "I'd have to smell her to see if this chick really is Lucy. But judging from that scar, and the dragon slayer magic, I don't think so."

Erza slammed a fist into his chest, "dammit Natsu! We can't leave something like this to chance! Lucy is family, we have to bring her back!"

"Besides, Fairy Tail hasn't been the same since she left," Gray pointed out, missing his shirt.

He heard a sigh as Juvia picked it up, "darling please try not to lose your shirt, taking it off is one thing, but leaving it on the ground is another."

"Sorry, force of habit."

"I say the only thing that's changed is the fact that Gray and Juvia are together and not acting weird about it!" Happy giggled from above.

Gray glared at the exceed, "stay out of my love life cat!"

"So how do we bring Lucy back?" Erza finally asked.

Lucy

Lucy picked a job off of the public board, Slay the Fire Dragon: 70,000 Jewel

She knew it probably wasn't a dragon, but 70,000 jewel was 70,000 jewel.

Whatever little fire mage shouldn't be a problem for her. She had taken down a few before. She readjusted her pack before walking the miles to the quarry where the rumored dragon was causing a scene. She arrived a few days later, when she found the address of the client, she was stunned to see that it had been abandoned for years.

She spun in a circle, readying herself.

A rock fell from the top of the quarry as a man jumped from it's rim, "FIRE DRAGON ROAR!"

Lucy blinked with wide eyes as she dodged the attack, leaping backwards in a flip. She landed on her feet with a short breath.

"So you're the Acidic Rose that was mentioned in Sorcerer Weekly, huh? You don't look all that tough," Natsu boasted as he prepared himself.

"Funny, last time we met, you called me the weakest mage Fairy Tail ever had! ACID DRAGON ROAR!" she directed the wide breath attack towards her former guild mate.

Natsu grunted as he narrowly dodged it, "I ain't ever seen you before in my life!"

Lucy charged, "good, because I am not that cry baby anymore!"

She swung a fist covered in an acidic slime at Natsu who tumbled back, "what the heck are you talking about?"

"ICE-MAKE PRISON!"

A cage of ice fell from the sky, trapping Lucy inside, "what the hell!? You tricked me!"

Gray stepped out from behind a boulder, "Lucy? Man, it really is you!"

Lucy stalked back and forth angrily like a caged animal, "oh, don't act like you weren't happy that I was gone, you idiots wanted it this way."

"If I may interject," Erza appeared from behind another boulder, "I don't recall anything that made you leave."

"Because you were drunk. You all agreed I was the weakest mage Fairy Tail ever had and that it'd be better for you on jobs if I left so I wouldn't get into the way," she snarled, placing her hands on the ice bars.

The three members of Team Natsu glanced at each other, "We said what?"

In the begginings of an argument over who caused her to leave, Lucy threw a wicked kick into one of the bars, breaking it.

The Fairy Tail mages turned, stunned at the newfound strength Lucy had gained.

She started to walk away, disgusted before Gray dropped another cage on her, this time, with only air holes. Lucy panicked, Acid couldn't melt this, the walls were too thick to break through, she was trapped.

And she was going to be brought back to Fairy Tail.

Author's note: I thought I'd try my hand at this area of Fairy Tail fanfics. But hey, it didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped but I will post it anyways just because I'm that bored. -Jay
Kayla was breathing heavy as she gripped her flashlight tighter in her hands. This was a mistake, it was just supposed to be minimum wage, non life-threatening job for a little extra cash, not running around the building evading killer animatronics. She heard a plate clatter to the ground, she carefully raised her head to glance over the countertop to see the yellow duck, Chika, moving around. She ducked back down and covered her mouth.

The animatronic shifted it's head, she could tell by the sound of the gears turning. It cawed and started clambering towards her. She screamed and started running towards the security room, she was chased out of there by Bonnie only minutes prior.

The guy on the phone warned her about this, but she thought it was an elaborate prank. She had to survive until the end of the shift, 6:15 AM. That's when the other guard would come in and relieve her. Unless she was stuffed inside a Freddy Fazebear suit and found dead the next day. She jumped into the office and slammed the door shut, dropping the heavy steel plate behind her. Chika squawked and slammed the glass window. The other door was still wide open, Kayla slowly crept out from under the desk, a tendency any 19 year old in this situation would do. She smashed her hand on the button for the door, closing it as Bonnie leapt for her from the blind spot. It was a narrow miss. She fell onto her backand closed her eyes. Why did she have to pick this job?

This was the first night of seven. She crawled back under the desk. She checked her watch 2:53 AM. The power generator wouldn't even last this long. She looked out at the room, the stuffed golden teddy bear that was a little taller than her. tears were spilling down her face as she crawled her way to it. She cuddled up next to it. It wasn't really soft, but it wasn't as bad as the floor. She cried into it's velvety fur and squeezed it tight. She stayed like that for a minute before picking herself up and grabbing the security pad. She flicked through the cameras. Chika was in the kitchen, Bonnie in the party room, Freddy was unmoving and Foxy was poking by the curtains in the Pirate's cove. She sighed wearily and crawled back to where the bear was. She stopped and dropped the pad. It had vanished. She spun to see it towering over her. She screamed as the giant paw covered her mouth. It's black emotionless eyes seeming to peer into her soul. A tear leaked from her eyes onto the towering...animatronic? She noted that it seemed to be slumping. I collapsed to the ground in front of her.

She fled to the back corner of the room as it tried to crawl towards her. It put a paw on her leg, "it's me..." it groaned in a mechanical voice.

Kayla winced, as it touched her, pulling her down as it came close. It placed a paw on the side of her face gently, as if to wipe away her tears.

"Please don't kill me," Kayla begged, knowing that it's goal was the same as the other animatronics.

It turned it's head as it's voice became more defined, that of a little girl's, "why kill?"

Kayla blinked, "what?"

"Why kill? Why cry?" it asked, it's voice becoming more like hers.

"The phone guy, he said that you would stuff me in a suit."

The Golden Freddy attempted to laugh, "Not you. I won't hurt you. I protect you! You hide inside of me!"

"What?"

"You wear me. I have no exoskeleton. You pretend to be my exoskeleton! Other kids won't attack you!" Golden Freddy exposed her back and tried pawing at a seam.

Kayla was nervous and fearful as a Zipper was revealed, "what are you?"

"My name is Gina! I was killed by the purple man years ago! He keeps coming back so we try to kill him, he stabbed Frankie, Brian, Carly and Francis's eyes out. They can't tell the difference of anyone over about your height," she sounded chipper.

Kayla was still tense as she pulled open the zipper, no dead body inside, "are you sure you won't kill me?"

Gina's voice sounded exactly like Kayla's now, "uh-huh! We're friends now, aren't we?"

Kayla slowly nodded as she slid her leg in. It was surprisingly comfortable as it seemed to hug her leg and tighten around it. She put her arms in next before sliding her head and the rest of her body into the suit. It started to zip itself up somehow, confusing Kayla. Gina's body tightened a little and form fitted the inside to Kayla's body. She took a sharp breath as she became accustomed to the inside of the creepy ghost child's odd body. She breathed through the stitching as Gina and Kayla moved their legs and arm.

A resounding drone went through the building as the power shut off. The doors slid open as a needle jammed into Kayla's neck.

She grimaced as she felt a jolt of electricity run through her.

She shook her head as she fell to her knees. Gina's voice entered her mind, "it's so that way we work better! Your nerves are connected to the wires now," she explained.

Kayla thought for a moment, she stepped out into the hallway, Foxy came sprinting down the hallway, stopping short just of the two. Foxy stared at the two.

Something flashed in Kayla's mind, she didn't so much as hear it with her ears as she did by her mind.

"Did you get him? The Purple guy?" he asked.

Kayla's eyes widened behind the mask, "no, I choked, he got away," Gina and Kayla replied, Kayla's voice sounding like an odd mix of her own and Gina's.

Foxy's metallic form slumped, "we have to kill him and keep him dead or he'll do what happened to us to other kids."

"I know," Gina replied, Kayla involuntarily using her mouth to verbally say the words.

Foxy slammed his metal hook into the wall, "dang it! We have to find him and kill him for good. I don't know how he survives us shoving him in the other Fazebear suits with as many sharp things are in there."

"Don't worry, It'll be fine," they responded.

Kayla tensed up as she felt Gina ruffled through her mind, as if searching for something, analyzing how her brain worked. Foxy snarled and ran back down the hall. Kayla mentally reached out to Gina.

"What are you doing?" she asked, unsettled that her mind was being played with.

"Growing up. From your mind, it's called analyzing your thought patterns and brain waves. It's intriguing, I wish I was like you," Gina admitted.

A soothing calm washed over Kayla as Gina flowed through her.

Kayla's mind hummed, "just don't mess my brain up."

"I won't. Just adapting to the times," Gina informed her, "Our killer is dead?"

The last part threw Kayla through a loop, Gina started searching her mind for new related to this place. The killer died in a shootout while wearing one of the suits, the animatronics were moved. A series of murders at the restaurants, countless lawsuits.

Gina understood what she had done. What they all had done. Kayla tried to mentally hug the girl who's mental age had grown to around Kayla's.

"Kayla, can I leave with you. I don't want to be here anymore."

Kayla was shocked, "I can't just take a suit home!"

Gina brought the arms of the suit around their chest, "I don't want to be Golden Freddy anymore."

Kayla felt a tear slide down her face, Gina was crying.

The two stood there, one internally comforting the other. The world around them blurred as they appeared in the storage room.

"What was that?" Kayla asked as she turned the head.

Gina answered back quickly, "I've been able to do that since I died. I was electrocuted as he stabbed me."

They waited for a few hours in silence, gaining a better understanding of each other.

"Can I stay inside you?" Gina eventually asked.

Kayla smiled, "Sure, thanks to you I survived."

"No, you saved me. I don't want to kill innocent people anymore."

Kayla smiled, "alright, just stay inside me, if that makes any sense."

With those words and 6AM fast approaching, Kayla got out of the Golden Freddy suit with little effort. She stretched a bit as digits on her watch turned to six. She still felt Gina within her mind, feeling relieved, but not passed on.

"Wait a second," Kayla said aloud.

"What? What's oh, crap."

"We still have four more nights."
